ITP!just read other ppl's blog, seems that everyone is bored stoning or doing filing etc..
then i thought agn, mayb i am a little luckier than them, i dont need to do any filing!!
no la because down there also got nth to file lah, lol..
basically my company is doing those rubber rollers, eg. those rollers that feed in paper inside the printers. Hewlett Packward is one of their clients..
so my dept takes these samples for testing and also tests the batches or raw rubber materials that come in everyday.
i found out that QA is not simple work ok!!
whole day doing
testing testing testing all the time, want to stone also go no time to stone!!
but, it is very very tiring work..
the sampling alone can take the whole day if you are slow, sampling of raw materials, making them into specimens for testing, then the shore hardness testing, testing for the specific gravity, keying in of data for quality analysis.. and u have to do it everyday on the new batches of rubber that come in!
then there's the coefficient of friction (COF) test, that one also can take the whole day, and there's so many many many specimens waiting to be tested! nvm lah, take it slowly, they say.. haha
something very new to me lah, because its on elastomers not polymers, which i think i only get to study abt them next sem..
the people there are very nice, they taught me how to to these tests for the first and second day, then frm the third day onwards they gave me actual testing stuff from clients to do.. record readings, fill up the form, do the test.. then got one section called "test done by:", then i asked put whose name? they said: of course put ur name lah, cannot be i the one who test then i also the one who approve right?! LOL..
i am glad that they do not ill treat me or just throw admin stuff for me to do, they actually taught me real stuff that they do in the lab, and gave me work to do..
one bad thing is that u can smell the rubber smell from the journey of the entrance of the production plant to the lab (which is somewhere around the end of the production plant) is erm, overpowering. haha but once in the lab the smell dies down.
and i have to wake up at a freaking
5am every morning so that i catch the
one and only 740am shuttle bus to the company, which leaves Jurong East MRT. if i miss that bus, say goodbye, take a cab, becuase u need at least 30 mins to walk into the building from the nearest bus stop!!
and work starts at 8.15. say goodbye to my beauty sleep..
but the work kinda makes up for it, its quite fun, people are nice, haha

yesterday i cannot tahan anymore (sick since the first day of work), so i took leave today.
dora: "i also can see u cannot tahan anymore already" ..hahahahaha!!
she specially called up HR to help me ask abt taking leave, and she so scared i kena dengue fever sia (because one of her friends got it)!! nice lady!
..and my supervisor, sean said ok, and then he laughed at me!! ..liddat also can, walao eh!! hahaha
and doris (frm engineering section) drove me out to JE mrt, and the others saw me then they asked "u also sick ah?"
because i think alot of ppl in the company fell sick, -_-"!!!! hahahaha
and..burying myself in work makes me forget abt certain things, lol..
