Hey!

sorry for being missing for so long, have been really busy with work, family & friends.. okay partly cuz i am getting abit lazy to blog. just a short update before i finally summon the concentration to upload ALL my photos here in one shot (cuz no one wants to read a wordy blog right?).. PROMISE!!

workwise, been feeling better now (thanks dine (: ), hmm if i've come across to you as emo/attitude/moody/wierd, so sorry x1000 !! getting more and more like a workaholic now, work work and more work! sometimes i really do enjoy working. haha siao liao~

found myself (finally) the course i wanted. if nothing goes wrong, i will be a student come january 2010. and $20k poorer. damn why is uni school fees so expensive?! i have to eat bread for like what, 5+ years after (to pay back e bank loan)? but anyway got kaki who will b studying with me, not bad la hoh. well, this time if i sink my feet (or rather both feet) down into a part-time course, make sure there is no more cock-up again. will take these coming two months ponder once more~

received the long awaited letter from CPF. :( have to start to contribute $$ back to my papa's CPF account for the poly school fees. $_$ somehow, not a very good feeling. but if i tighten my purse strings, it shld be alright. think instead of eating bread i might end up eating air!

spend less on shopping! but... you know lah, abit hard for me but i will continue trying, so my dears you shld know what to do when out shopping hor! ROAR at me!!

oh yes pls continue to support http://flowersinthesand.blogspot.com even though i will be shifting to a wordpress blog soon. already done the importing of entries from blogger but i am still tweaking the blog here and there. because the World Wide Web is soooo WIDE, i want to personalise my blog abit! Finally set up my twitter (after so long zzz), able to update here thru twitter if i dont have the time to update online. Lol.. This domain has become rather dormant over the past few months, been so busy with work and APLT that i hardly have time to go online. T.T

Oh and i've just had my 21st birthday not too long ago! Thanks everyone for making my 21st so memorable, my papa mama and sis, godpapa godmama, sexy4 happy2 ong alvin eric, ying jibee kluh rence cf, a big hug to all of you for the suprise, the decorations and all the ballons and for helping me out all the way! Thought i was dead for the decorations totally forgot abt it, very gan dong :D

Bangkok was fun! First time having such shopping trip overseas with friends. Second overseas trip with my sexies. Had a good time shopping! Minus some stuff i wanted to get, saw it there, but didnt manage to get even though i keep reminding myself so mny times.. Blur me. But its okay! :) More bangkok trips next year okay my sexies! Next up: Kexin's Dec birthday getaway.. :D

The first week has passed. Hectic life, but i'm enjoying it. Somehow it makes me feel that i am living my life with a purpose and not just slacking.. And that i wanna excel in whatever I'm doing (trying hard). Though tiring, its worth it. And it was the first time i can fully understand what Mr Pok is talking abt during his lecture.. miracle man, haha!

Things have changed.. and so does my perspective on other things. Looking back, i realised how childish (in terms of thinking)/bad i am and as i move on, i begin to see things in a new light. But i still dont mind acting cute sometimes wahahaha =P

Work, comes with many responsibilites. For yourself and everyone around you. No longer am I treated as a teen, and I'm an adult now. So many new things to learn, its like a new learning journey. Auntie Jennie is right, working life outside is totally different from ITE where we are just temp staff and working enviroment is carefree.. Everyone will be looking at you, thus you have to do your job well, and present yourself well. And plus the fact that i have been entrusted with jobs with such a heavy resonsibility to do even on the first wk of work makes me feel good. Like i am part of their section, not just a "baby" newbie. So right now I'll be working hard on my meticulousity, and going forward many other things to improve as well :)

And now whenever i see a public holiday, i get excited.. woohoo got holiday! hahaha..

Can't wait for June to come! MANY happenings! Except Mid-Sem Tests.. o.0

yesterday was the start of sch. i am a student again! haha

saw some familiar faces here and there.. and of course yellow rubberband, who will be the same class as me (yx, hot news bo!) hahaha okay so ytd was kinda wad i have expected.. and got no try to b funny-action bedek kind of ppl. heng ah.. hahaha and sw and i went home hungry. damn hungry..........

and i realised i'd prefer night classes to day sessions at any given time of the day. hmm.. wait till i start work next wk. kinda excited and horrified at the same time..horrified that i'll have my sleeping hours cut short drastically LOL well shall adjust that slowly.

I am not perfect, and I know that. I do not have the looks and the body (HAHA the vanity!). I know that there are certain actions/things are already deemed inappropriate and are being frowned upon. You are suppposed to refrain from doing it, so as to set an example, to feel good with yourself, blah blah.. and yet subconsciously I am doing it. No good.. and it makes me feel so disappointed, angry and disgusted with myself, why am I like that? I am a bad person! What will others think of me.. I dont wanna give ppl wrong impression!!

Still trying to find myself, the real me, so as to guide to the real way, to change for the better. To become a more desirable person (haha)! Because I am not perfect! HHAHAHA still learning and picking up.. which is a significant learning point of my life journey. Why am i being so poignant haha

Because i realised that i can have two different personalities at two different places at any one time.. Wah!

Dear Diary,

Ha! I'm not dead yet, its just that plain laziness got the better of me. i read blogs but hardly update mine. well that's the irony.. or its just me being lazy!

yep so caught marley and me today. super buay tahan that show, made me drop some tears! :( especially the part where marley had to go.. wonder what will i do if butter left me someday in the future. that day will come though.. guess i'll keep crying and crying, and crying.. i'll be so damn sad okay! the movie made me have the urge to fly home and kiss butter all over the place and say "i love you muacks", not before chilling at starbucks and ordering a venti caramel macchiato, which had proven to be a big mistake. the venti-sized cup for hot drinks is not the same as the cold ones.. it was freaking big man, comparable to a beer mug? okay maybe 3-quarter of a beer mug. i was stunned when i saw the cup. abit noobish but yea. how stunning (pun intended). and so i finished the whole cup of coffee, had some chat and gossip, went home and paid a visit to the toilet bowl. well that's coffee for you, an all-natural & effective laxative. for me i guess. lol

got down to exercising (really!) and i aim to make it a habit to exercise at least once a week. *fingers crossed*

starting school soon! i am becoming a student again! i feel so young man! wahahhaaa!

and well, that's me being random, randomly blogging about something random on a random day like this. hmm maybe because i have the urge to blog. nothing much nowadays.. cest la vie. in this recession period i just wanna pray that everything goes smoothly. no need to be something of a real deal, a good deal or whatever but i hope that everything flows right and smooth and normally.. i dont expect much, dont expect something very good to befall on me, the norm is good enough. just the basic if fine, if you get that i mean. no stunts please thank you very much, and i'll be a contented girl too. :D and one more thing, i am happliy single okay! happily single! stop spicing me up with something which will not happen! alright, so christmas is over and 2009 is approaching, while i am still slacking HERE! so here i'm gonna make a big update on my blog, its considered big looking at my pevious entries its either a few lines or one big chunk of words. hahaha

now i am also supposed to beautify my resume because someone told me my resume sucks. and i think so too! but i have nothing to zhng my resume. dont care lah, hamtam everything in already! oh well, any help? haha!

so let's sum up what i did. after coming back frm genting with my sexies, i have made the BIGGEST(tt's for now) decision, and i've never looked back. though the repercussions will be f-ing costly.. expecting tt to happen but still cheers to my dad and mom for always being there for me. you guys rock my socks.

and on a sidenote.. i have been playing mahjong (real-life or not) these few days and i have been losing! wtf! maybe i shld pay a visit to loyang tua pek gong? argh my wealth has taken a toll..

speaking abt wealth, my very first resolution for the year 2009 would be to have a better control over my finances. or rather be more mature fiancially. and to attain this resolution, i've gotten myself a finanical planner! hohoho! off we go!

and thanks to ying for your letter written using the "so hard, big and very heavy" autograph book of yours! its been ages since i received such letters. very touched, seriously! heartwarming too.. its as if we are back to year one times where at the end of year one we wld write cards to each other before the start of year two when we all went to different classes..

so ive decided. Singapore Polytechnic here i come (again)! Advanced Diploma.. After so much thinking, i'm back to SP. call me fickle or what but well, final decision and its FINAL. I'm not into business and UWA's 4 year course is too long for me :) shall go register soon. when is the last day for registration?!?!?!?!

genting trip was funnnn. the only bummer is that i had to fall sick. great~ that's why i dread to go to cold areas. but surprisingly after i recovered (on the third day when we are leaving) i realised that genting isnt THAT cold after all - its just like aircon! i was even wearing my slippers around. and i saw a fucking lizard baby at the rim of my sink! and the lizard baby super guai lan lor, still can camouflage itself into a reddish brown colour (exactly e same as my sink)! and since i took out my contacts, i was squinting at it, wondering what that unidentified object is, and leaning so close to it till i got e shock of my life. zomg! it's still not caught and probably is enjoying itself at one little corner in the toilet. better dont let me catch it or else it will never see daylight again!! stupid lizards and cockroaches! xiao qiang zzz!!

1b27 mala steamboat gathering last fri~! haven't seen those peeps in a long loooong time already.. so happy to be able to see them again. we had 金针菇 like nobody's business until i got scared of it. like two big plates full per round. haha~

blading today with the sexies, haven ~~bladed~~ skated (okay e correct term is inline skating ahem) and i used brake-less skates to skate. very scary but the skates are good. u can FEEL it, u just have a smoother roll. something got to do with the bearing of the skates but heck lah i also dont know what i am talking about. anyway its damn shiok la skating at East Coast Park! yay i have better skating skills now! i wanna skate again!! so tempted to own a pair of skates!!

the ironic thing is i fell after changing into skates with brakes. super dots. must be because i take e brakes for granted. whahaha!

then i went off the meet faggots for a movie session~ and while rushing to meet with them i stepped onto a puddle of vomit. or lets just assume its yoghurt. highly unlikely but in these circumstances i think i'll prefer to assume lah. haha~ but its super gross!!!!!! WTF man i think that's probably the most disgusting thing i've ever stepped on after snails and muddy fields (with earthworms or what not too, thank you very much). i dont know but i think my reaction was more like sian diao than pissed. maybe because i'm aldy sweaty and dirtied frm e skating session? went to buy dettol antiseptic wipes afterwards.

what a busy day. but i like it tt way. its good. :D next sat shall be family day. i should sleep now, but i cant. thanks to caffeine. i think i am a caffeine addict now. one cup of coffee during work per day. OMG but anyway i still love my caffeine. okay whatever.

my lovely doggy just bit the nose of my favourite doggy soft toy into shreds. nabei!! gave it a good scolding. my birthday present leh! :( The thing is, imagine that doggy toy is a real life doggy friend.. and judging by the way she handled it, hmm........ dunno why today so hyper for what lol

anyway caught an SSO concert yesterday and Valdimir Feltsman is damn zai can. I mean damn seriously damn zai! His technical work is like.. whoa (i will never ever play like him in my entire life) and we got his autograph during intermission. How siao is that? lol

got inspired to take on piano lessons again, i dont wanna get stuck at a grade unable to move on anymore.. Like what ying said "watch concerts, get inspired then after some time u dont get inspired anymore" haha, but i think i might really want to continue lessons again. abit too old liao i know but who cares! Will start after i get my gz diploma. U know, have a target in life and follow it. For now is to get a gz diploma and of course get a steady steady laboratoy PERMARNENT job lah! LOL

The cookie meusum is damn nice lah.. and damn grand too. The berry tea is very nice! The hot chocolate is DAMN DAMN DAMN gao.. Haha! The decor is sibei grand until i feel so uneasy while sipping my tea.. Aiming for the cookies and lotus seeds (haven tried tt yet but heard its very nice).. Hehehe

happy hari raya to all muslim friends, and tmr its back to work. i really sincerely pray hard that the hard drive can be revived or else i must redo the whole folder again.. oh good heavens!

i feel very sian knowing that i might have to redo the whole file again, its like 300 pages. though they say its alright, there no quota to finish, but one week's effort jus wasted like that.. i feel very pissed (at myself and the bloody hard drive)

back from bangkok. state of emergency is not as grave a u thought of but u can see a little effect it has on the people. some shops are closed in the beginning of the week, but later u see people start going out as usual. as CROWDED as usual!

u know, i wanna shop still though. looking at takashimaya and orchard rd and marina square and zara and esprit blah blah i have the very urge to shop! but no money lah! or rather i wouldnt want to part with my money just yet. the soul is willing but the flesh is weak. haha maybe its the feeling of being able to hang out with friends at 4pm in the afternoon that i yearn for most.

starting work tmr, i'm gonna be an office lady (not auntie) and also looking forward to listening to the "fart song" as reccomened by our dear OA polly leong (OOPS!), haha. doubt will have the time to update anytime soon cuz my tutee's exams are coming, and also my guzheng diploma (oh the horror)! will try my best, for both the internal AND the nus exam. AH!

forget about adobe photoshop, GIMP is the bomb! almost the same interface as photoshop and most importantly no hassle or problems during installing! that's what i love about it!

and i've once again up-ed my skills experimenting with it. quite satisfied with the results, though there's room for improvement. haha

as for my adobe programs, i ran a CS3Clean and wiped out all abobe programs found in my OS. a command i use when i totally had enough of all whole saga of installing again ang again... haha so i'll have to reinstall the programs one by one again.. =|

i'm slowly adjusting my body clock and sleeping less, slept at 4am (thanks to adobe CS3 installer) yesterday and woke up at 8.30am today. and no signs of lethargy yet! it a way to prepare myself (or rather my body) to working life i guess. gotta wake up early in the future. :(

anyway i wanted to post photos from the singapore garden festival very much but my dvd drive can't read the damned dvd with the photoshop program i burnt! holy.. what happened?

i wanted to compress the photo file size because one photo is a freaking 2mb or more. blogger will take a damn long time to load all the pics man.

reason being that those photos are anestheically pleasing (its more of landscaping with flowers rather than just flowers alone), though i am just a bloody noob using a point to shoot digital camera while at the festival u can see many photograhy ethusiasts using DSLR camera with damn big lenses and flash. which makes u feel very noob beside them lol.

shall post a few (first) to prove my point:

going for these kind of exhibitions is damn good. the exhibits are damn pretty, and erm open ur sights to a different experience?

talking about DSLR cameras, the one i want to buy from cannon is 1.5k. zzz how long would i need to save man! next time buy liao can trade lenses with kexin. haha..

Some Hamster Facts for You
Hamsters prefer dark places. Dwarf hamsters also can run extremely quickly. Hamsters cannot live in pine or cedar bedding, as it can kill the hamster.

Campbell's dwarfs are crepuscular, meaning that they are most active at dawn and at dusk.

Campbell's hamsters are born with one of four coat types: normal, satin, wavy and rex. The normal coat is short and flat. The wavy coat is slightly long and wavy; the whiskers are curly when young and, although the coat moults out to a normal coat, the curly whiskers remain through adulthood. Campbell's dwarfs are available in six basic colors plus many variations thereof.

Basic colors include:

albino (white with red eyes)

don't say i did not warn you, its gonna be double the effect because its emo-ism coupled with PMS.

so u wanna hear the plans of my "so-called" future endeavors. the reason why i termed it "so-called" because it has not happened yet, nor i have seen any signs of it happening (still studying at the moment). you say u worry about my future, or gladly assume that i have not been planning anything on what am i gonna do in future (in other words, idling). well, i'd rather tell u what i have decided, with the most most concrete plan i have. that's all it matters, right?

why is that so, because i do not need to u to worry. its my future, and i worry for it too, more than u do. i want to, and will plan my own future.

since i'm lagging behind my peers for half a semester (fuck it, now everyone knows), so i do not have the liberty of having time to decide what to do, or having some relax time before i actually step in to the society, so i decide now. people might think its presumptuous, well actually it is. because i am assuming.

assuming i want to carry on working in the polymer industry (at the moment), take the conventional route: advanced diploma, then master's in London. its the route SP has set for us, its the safest and more reliable route.

another is to heck it and get a degree from SIM or other university which might not be totally related to my course of study, and that's where MONEY comes into the picture. not hundreds, not thousands, but tens or few hundred thousands.

and of course right after i graduate i'm gonna work full-time, before the next intake which i guess will be next year. i cant rest. i cannot rest, because i've already lost time.

after all, in this society, having a degree is nothing.

so that's what it is for now because i have not even fucking finished exams yet.

i've just unearthed a so-called ants nest residing inside a gift box made of paper which was given by a friend a few years ago. and the box was used to store my little trinkets..
omg my trinkets! bloody hell.

had to throw some of them away and wash the rest. i am getting worried whether those little trinkets might rust or not.. if it does, i'll be super sian-ed.

shall buy those pretty pretty jewellery boxes made of painted wood or lagi best, get a plastic one. plastic is always the best. i love polymers. haha

HOLY CRAP! I've almost tripped/ tripped over things many times today.

First was at Pat's office, i almost tripped over her in/out tray.
Then, i've knocked over piles of paper, tripped over drainage covers (twice, kicked onto tables, bumped into pillars, and lost my balance many times.

what the hell is wrong with me?! haha

and i swear today is the day i saw so much receipts (chits) in my whole entire life. shirley was like telling me that she will not explain the entire procedure of sorting out chits to me or else i will dream of them tonight. damn funny la she!

but anyways when she goes on leave next week i'll still have to look at them everyday. T.T

my laptop's been infected with a virus again, with many many trojan horses which lurk around my c drive files!
windows defender sucks! it didnt even notify me when my lappy's been infected wtf!
this is the second time my lovely lappy has been infected with a virus, and i think this time the virus is much stronger than the previous one.
having an "ant" screensaver in your laptop, then your drivers vanishing one by one, then ur start menu being virtually useless because there's no program for u to select, is certainly not what u expect at 3am in the night.

and it gives me major creeps! was super disturbed. wth haha..
and i cant even bloody run safe mode or do system recovery! what a bummer!
and i cant find my windows disk and recovery disk! double bummer!!!!

luckily my PC is revived not too long ago! :) hehe

did this LED circuit all by myself for almost 2 hours during gems
and it actually lights up!
cuz if too much solder will bridge the the contact points together
causing short circuit, so it will nt light up..

really very happy to see my circuit board light up!
at least all the 2hrs of effort i put in have not gone to waste
because i am a complete noob in soldering even yurica does it better than me lol!
although i forgot to push all the components completely in so its kinda popping out
